Transforming Boring Photos Into Masterpieces via Pixlr

I love taking pictures. I take pictures everywhere I go. I just got a new phone, called BLU. I adore it because it's got this huge screen and it's super affordable.

My husband got the first one, then I wanted one too. I had already taken over his phone so I got his. I was so happy, I was already imagining what I could do with his, and he never got to use it as I had it all the time. He got me one of my own purely as a measure of self defense.

What's this have to do with taking pictures you might wonder.

Everything. My phone goes everywhere with me and I can snap, snap, snap, whenever the mood strikes me. Which is quite often.

I have discovered two new things, three if you count you can only email so many pictures to yourself without running out of data. I just ran out of data and discovered that's what wifi is for. I now use wifi to share my photos through Picasa. It's been a real life saver when I have too many photos on my phone and it stops emailing me.

So I learned that Picasa and Google+ are connected and you can share your photos to yourself, so much more easily and the best thing for this eye candy gal is Pixlr. Pixlr is phone app which allows me to enhance my photos. It's also a desktop application. I have created some pretty cool stuff, if I say so myself.

So I take pictures of everything and yes, I mean everything. Sometimes my husband is amazed at the things I take pictures of. Perhaps he is even slightly embarrassed.

Artistic Selfie

Doesn't matter if I am a fool for my art. Doesn't matter if the end result is blurry and unrecognizable. That only serves to make the transformation better. I have taken a picture of a plain old boring green screen of nothing (complete accident, but I liked the shade of green) and transformed it into a work of art.

My plan is to take these masterpieces to Polyvore, so I can manipulate them further and share them with the masses.

Or perhaps not, and keep them to myself.  Or experiment with them in Gimp or Paint.net. Some will go to morguefiles. I like to transform those too, but transforming my own photos are sooo much more satisfying.

Most of the fun is in experimenting to see what I can come up with. Not to mention the whole taking pictures thing, which I probably mentioned that I really love to do.

I love how these look so painterly!
